Nestled between Cannes and Nice, Casa Donandrea is in the little seaside resort of Le Golfe Juan, famous for being the point where on March 1st, 1815, Napoléon Bonaparte and 600 of his men landed when he escaped from exile in Elba, and began his campaign toward Paris and ultimately his defeat at Waterloo, called the “Hundred Days”. Le Golfe Juan boasts one of the best sandy beaches in the area, a popular port, and many great restaurants and cafés. It also has four boulangeries to choose your morning bagette or pane au chocolat. There are several supermarkets, a chocolatier, a fish monger, a butcher, wine shop, hair salons, spas, as well as a charming outdoor market. The train station is a three minute walk from the apartment, and will take you to Cannes(10 minutes) and further in one direction, and all the towns along the way to Nice(30minutes)
